Circa Now! / Hobe Sound
Old Florida style furniture & decor
Old Florida style furniture is relaxed, a little weathered and built for living with the doors open. It suits Hobe Sound and the Treasure Coast, and it is a style we love to source.
Old Florida is one of the styles I buy for, and some of the pieces here are one-of-a-kind creations made in house. If you are after something for the porch or the garden room, tell me and I will watch for it.
What is Old Florida style furniture?
Old Florida style furniture is relaxed, a little weathered and made for living with the doors open. It leans on natural materials, especially rattan, bamboo and wicker, with cushions in sea blues, sandy neutrals and soft greens.
It suits Hobe Sound and the Treasure Coast, where rooms open to a porch or garden, and it is easy to live with: nothing is precious, and everything is comfortable.
Rattan, bamboo and plant stands
Vintage rattan chairs and sofas bring texture and an easy silhouette; bamboo gives a lighter, more graphic line. Plant stands and planters belong in every Old Florida room, and soft, glowing vintage lamps finish it.
Look through the garden and outdoor collection and the decor and tabletop pieces for the smaller finds.
Bringing Old Florida style home
Keep the palette calm and let textures do the talking. One or two good rattan pieces in a room of plain linens look better than a houseful of matching wicker.
Some of the pieces here are one-of-a-kind creations made in house. Tell us what you are after for your porch or garden room and we will watch for it.
