Old Florida is relaxed, a little weathered and built for living with the doors open. It suits Hobe Sound and the Treasure Coast, and it is a style we love to source.
Old Florida is one of the styles I buy for, and some of the pieces here are one-of-a-kind creations made in house. If you are after something for the porch or the garden room, tell me and I will watch for it.
Look for natural materials, rattan and bamboo, planters and plant stands for the porch, and lighting with a soft glow. These pieces are most at home in rooms that open to the garden.

Connie Hill

Connie Hill was educated in New York and Chicago and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design with a minor in Art History. Since entering the design field in 1976 she has managed a high-end stone and tile business, imported antiques from Europe, provided fine art consultation for corporations and founded three design firms. A nationally recognized, award-winning designer, she has lectured and published articles on the design industry, and her projects have been featured in national design magazines.
