Splendid original oil painting on canvas inspired by Léon Bonnat (France 1833-1922) from the early 20th century. Bonnat studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and became a leading portraitist known for his lifelike paintings of both prominent figures and Italian peasants in a unique Spanish baroque style. This piece depicts a 'Roman Girl at the Well' with a balance of moody shadows and playfulness from the young girl. It is not signed nor dated. It is professionally presented in a thick wood frame with gold finish. The piece was acquired from a Palm Beach Estate in 2026. A wonderful addition to any art collection.
