Pretty gold overlay glass leaf shaped divided dish from the 1960's marked George Briard. Overlay glass was developed by German artisan Friedrich Deusch in 1907. Overlay was an exclusive luxury item that was not mass produced as it was a very time consuming process. Most pieces had intricate Art Nouveau design themes. A beautiful piece for your collection.
